How can the oversight of intelligence services be improved, especially with regard to state surveillance that is becoming more and more technically complex and data-driven? Dr. Thorsten Wetzling explored this question in his presentation on “Intelligence Oversight Innovation” (based on the policy paper on data-driven intelligence oversight) at the workshop “Security Practices – Security Technologies”.
The workshop was organized by the DVPW (German Political Science Association) Thematic Group “Critical Security Studies” in cooperation with the SFB/TRR 138 “Dynamics of Security” (Gießen/Marburg). The Workshop took place 06 December 2019 at the Philipps-Universität Marburg, Germany.
